I really love the concept: fully leveled characters, two totally different characters, waves of enemies.
It's got all of the trimmings of a good ol' RPG, the animation is great and fluid, love the character designs...Could use a little bit of extra stuff (like extra animations for being low on HP or poisoned or perhaps unlockable characters/weapons) but overall is really great -- one of my fav flash RPGs ever! Great job!

Very unique and different. You did a good job with how little you actually used. The lack of color actually adds to its own art style, and the facial expressions are great. Very cool animation, but also very strange. Made me laugh at the end with all of the "turning on" stuff. Don't really know what else to say.

It was all right. Better than most stuff on Newgrounds, I'd say, but also lacking the polish I've seen in other sprite-based action flashes. At this point, the Mario Bros. Z series really is the standard to be aiming more, unless there's something I missed, and while this may not be up to that level, it's still good.
The voice acting is hit or miss, and the dialogue as a whole is a bit cliche and hokey, but it's all right in the end. This is a concept we've seen before, but it was interesting to start off with the villains perspective on things from the get go.
Not a bad job at all, but it can definitely be better, too.
Hopefully as you go you'll learn more and get better. This has some potential.

This has the makings of greatness.
Animation is cool, good style with your angles, it just needs some more colorand sound.
And well, it could be longer, but you can remedy that by continuing it, eh? Good work.

Relatively short, but an adventure game that one can actually figure out because it's not overly ridiculous.
A very amusing twist, and even a very humorous scene thrown in, too.
Still confused as to what's going on, but perhaps that's why you have a sequel planned, eh?
Well, good luck, I anticipate the sequel, and hope it's even better.

This thing is awesome and really captures the Metal Slug feel.
But why isn't it complete?
Why is there only one selectable player?
Why are there options we can't access?
What up wit' that?
But that aside, what IS there is rather enjoyable.

Hey, I liked this one. It was amusing.
I found it rather interesting that you stuck in some random anti-Nintendo humor in there. Kind of ironic.
Criticism is certainly good, though. I mean, at heart, I'm hard-core Nintendo, and I'm buying the Rev. at launch, because Nintendo has yet to fail me. People criticized just about every product Nintendo put out, but the only one that actually flopped (at least the only console I can think of) was the virtual boy.
But you're totally right--we have no idea what the games will look like, how well they will control, or how much they will change games.
However, I'm confident that Nintendo won't screw things up. They may be off to a rocky start, but so was the DS, and I've been playing that more than anything else lately.
However, there IS the undeniable fact that the Revolution has potential.
And people shouldn't be knocking it so much until we get to try it. After all, Nintendo was the first to introduce all of these things:
Control pad/D-pad
Control stick
Vibrating controller
I mean, it's no WONDER they've got things under wraps--everyone else took those ideas from them. Now, if anyone tries to mimic the Rev., everyone will know it's a cop-off.
The Revolution has a lot of potential to change the way we play games in a unique and fun way, and I'd much rather play games that do things like Shadow of the Colossus and Resident Evil 4 that leave me awed and looking at games in a different light than ones that simply look better.
I guess it's all a matter of time before we get the answers we seek. ;) And I am SO looking forward to the wait.
Again, I really love your voice acting. Aside from Xombie, I'd say it's the best voice cast I've heard in a flash series. Love it. The last one made me laugh more, but this one was still pretty good.
Nice work.
Author's Response:
Yeah, I feel pretty much the same way you do- the Revolution has potential and I'm looking forward to it, but overall there are a lot of aspects that could screw things up and deliver an underwhelming product. I mean, many people would argue that the Gamecube and N64 underdelivered (Myself included so far as the Gamecube goes). But no one opinion is right as far as Nintendo goes; they're a unique company that doesn't cater to one taste exclusively.
And thanks a lot for the voice acting compliments! To tell the truth, Kagome and Laura(The female VAs), along with Dylan Collins (Mechi/Generic Gray) are in many different Flash movies (Including Xombie ep. 7+ for Kagome) and are very experienced. The girl I used before them in the first two episodes was not experienced at all and eventually became a nasty person to deal with. Me, Fleur and Sean just happened to be friends who did this for fun and put our all into it, though it helps that Fleur has years of school theater experience.

This had some cool animation. I mean, it was a public service announcement, so it was kind of corny, but it was still well done for a flash.

This isn't the best flash I've seen, but it's pretty darn good effort. I can see a lot of your ideas, and though they don't look or feel as good as they could, I see the potential the work that went into this. With some more experience, you could make some really nice stuff.
This was a pleasant surprise. Plenty of room for improvement, but also plenty above a lot of the stuff around here.
Good work. This deserves a spot on the Zelda page.

I'm dying here. You simply must finish this. All good things must come to an end, and you owe it to yourself to conclude this epic masterpiece.
It is very rare that I have seen flash so artistic, so stylistically breathtaking...
You've put so much life into this world, it's remarkable. The dialogue seems silly at first, but it works perfectly with the mood of everything.
You even have grafted your own mythology into it. Mind-boggingly brilliant.
I implore you--finish this series. It is amazing.
This is THE best 8-bit flash series I ever come upon. It's the most artistic sprite work I have ever seen, and is up there in the ranks of Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom on my sprite honor list. Amazing.
This is heads and shoulders ahead of most flash works here, especially those of its own kind.
Any Mario fan owes it to themself to watch this series. If you have an open mind and a heart open to drama and solemnity, you will adore this. It's THAT good. This is quality work.
